Immerse yourself in the heart of South Sudan on this 5-day cultural safari: you’ll travel from bustling Juba into the untouched lands of the Mundari people, waking at dawn to photograph their vast cattle camps and experience their ancestral way of life; from milk rituals to wrestling matches. Next, you’ll journey to meet the Dinka, one of the world’s tallest peoples, and spend time in their community, learning how cattle drive their society.
You’ll also explore Juba’s lively markets, historic mausoleums, and palaces before departing with a deeper understanding of two of South Sudan’s most iconic tribes.
1
After arrival, drive towards the Mundari villages. South Sudan is still a virgin country with a lot of untouched land. Drive through the vacant land that makes the land appear semi-arid, the view here extremely outstanding. Arrival is in the late evening to just check in at the lodge, dinner and overnight.
2
Today you will wake up early to catch the sun rise over the South Sudan plains, a perfect time for photography. The whole day you will keep interacting with the Mundaris, visiting the cattle camp, Nykabor village where you are to have your lunch. The day will expose you to the local way of life for the Mundari people, how they raise their cattles, the most famous game played here; wrestling and so many other things that make up the Mundari beliefs and cultures.
3
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Mundari. Now start your journey to The Dinka. Driving to the Dinka village will still take you through Juba city. It’s a four-hour journey, however you will drive at your own pace, having several stopovers at places of your convenience for photos as you wish.
In the afternoon, spend the day at the Dinka camp. The Dinka’s are known as the world’s tallest people and today is the day you will prove. See their way of life, taking care of their cattle, the community elders keeping law and order in the camp, ladies taking care of homes and family, simply a virgin setting that is worth experiencing. You will feast on the local food today if you wish. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

4
After breakfast, drive back to Juba town. On arrival in Juba town, you will have lunch in a random restaurant to taste the local cuisines that the people of South Sudan dine on. You will then visit the country’s largest market; the Konyo Konyo. Visit the presidential palace, Garang Mausoleum and the Jubek Tomb where the town got its name from. In the evening proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
